CEDENOS CUBAN CAFE – Restaurant

Anselmo Cedeno started cooking what his family calls la abuela style back in 1992, and his sons — both firefighters — have kept the Broward Boulevard counter running on the same idea: Cuban home cooking at prices that have barely moved. Every entree comes with three sides. Ropa vieja, picadillo, palomilla, churrasco with chimichurri, lechon asado, masas de puerco, pollo asado and garlic shrimp fill the line; tostones, moro rice, yuca and sweet plantains fill the plate. Croquetas, empanadas and pan de bono sit by the register, cafecito beside them. Flan, tres leches and arroz con leche finish the visit.
