Charlotte Cafe – coffee_shop

A small Manhattan coffee bar with three rooms, Broadway at 96th on the Upper West Side, Second Avenue in Kips Bay, and Second again up at 61st, all opening at half six and running to half seven. The espresso list is properly old-fashioned: con panna, macchiato, cortado, flat white, Viennese cappuccino, red eye, freddo. Flavoured lattes run through pistachio, rose, lavender, macadamia and honey; cold brew, iced matcha lemonade and dirty chai handle the afternoon. Baked goods and platters go out for catering, with vegan and gluten-free options, and whole beans are sold by the bag. Unhurried, neighbourly, consistently good.
