CHEEKY'S – Restaurant

Central Avenue in St. Pete, and from Memorial Day to Labor Day Cheeky's turns itself into a proper American clam bar before reverting to its fish and raw bar self. Either way the cooking runs Gulf and Atlantic straight: a blackened grouper sandwich under a spicy house rub, grouper cheeks with bang-bang sauce, Sicilian crudo, New England clam chowder, Connecticut-style lobster rolls, a Montauk-style fried clam roll. Burgers hold their own, fried baskets arrive with slaw, and the key lime pie is a Best of the Bay winner. Happy hour lands daily between three and six. It opens every day.
