CHUCKS SEAFOOD RESTAURANT – Seafood
Sunset over the Fort Pierce Inlet, a basket of fried shrimp, and a bar pouring since 1961: Chuck's has held this stretch of Seaway Drive on Hutchinson Island for six decades. The kitchen keeps to Florida basics done properly, with conch fritters, hush puppies, calamari, stuffed grouper, shrimp scampi, and a dozen peel-and-eat shrimp sent out with cocktail sauce and drawn butter. Steaks, pasta, a raw bar and a full bar fill the rest. Outside, the waterfront tiki bar runs live music, cornhole and a daily happy hour. Regulars come for the shrimp and stay on to watch the boats.
