CIAO RISTORANTE – Restaurant

West Kendall's Italian corner does something unusual: a long Italian card with a German streak running straight through it. Handmade pasta leads, from spaghetti allo scoglio piled with shrimp, mussels, scallops and calamari to linguine alle vongole veraci, fiocchi with pear and gorgonzola, and ravioli filled with short rib. Seven risottos include squid ink and frutti di mare. Then schnitzel, wiener sausage, spatzle and apple strudel share the menu with veal ossobuco and lamb chops. Antipasti reward a detour: burrata pugliese, grilled octopus, and beef carpaccio with shaved padano. Reservations, online ordering, catering and private parties are all offered here.
