CITRON OF HOBE SOUND – Restaurant

A screened, covered porch and a bar that fills early set the tone at this Hobe Sound bistro, which serves New American plates with a firm seafood lean. Dinner opens with P.E.I. mussels in garlic butter broth, fried calamari with citrus and sriracha aioli, seared tenderloin carpaccio, or ceviche with pineapple, avocado and plantain chips. Entrees cover pistachio-crusted halibut, sesame-seared tuna, swordfish piccata, grilled salmon over cauliflower puree and a lobster roll served warm or chilled. Salads run to beets and goat cheese, or chopped kale with cotija. Lunch, brunch and a daily happy hour follow, with a wine list.
