CLOVES INDIAN KITCHEN – Restaurant
A Miramar Boulevard kitchen that runs the length of India rather than one region of it. Cloves opens with Mumbai street food - lamb methi keema pao, Amritsari fish, manchurian - then moves through the tandoor for murgh tikka, afghani malai tikka and tandoori shrimp. Curries arrive at six spice levels, from mild to phal hot. There are goat and lamb biryanis, peeli dal tadka, mulligatawny, and breads worth ordering extra of: keema naan, kashmiri naan, onion kulcha, aloo paratha. A butter chicken poutine sits cheerfully out of place. Lunch and dinner daily, with cocktails, Indian beer and wine alongside.
