The Davie outpost of the Choong Man Korean fried chicken brand sits on South University Drive and trades daily into the evening. Chicken comes mixed, or as wings, drums or tenders, and the sauce list is where it gets interesting: garlic soy, garlic mild, garlic spicy, red hot, curry, honey, hot honey, mala spicy, soy spring onion and smoky tikkudak. Snow Onion arrives buried under shaved raw onion and cool cream sauce; Cheese Monster comes dusted in cheese powder. Spicy snow versions cover every cut. Portions are built for sharing, and the fry-then-oven finish keeps the crust crackling under sauce.
