CONCH HOUSE MARINA RESORT – Restaurant
Grass huts stand out over the water here and the covered patio looks straight across Salt Run - a St. Augustine marina fixture since 1946. Seating is walk-up only; reservations are never taken. The kitchen calls its cooking Southern Coastal: Bahamian conch fritters with key lime mustard aioli, Minorcan conch chowder, cracked conch, gator tail fried in cajun flour. Fresh catch arrives grilled, blackened, fried or jerked, or dressed as the Salt Run with panko, roasted red peppers and sherry cream. Shrimp Anastasia, butter-rum scallops and lobster mac hold the middle. Desserts are made in house, key lime pie included.
