DEPOT ON MAGNOLIA – Restaurant
A historic train depot on NE 1st Avenue, dressed steampunk, feeding downtown Ocala mostly at lunchtime. The kitchen keeps things quick and a little playful: french fries infused with white truffle oil and Parmesan alongside a dragon sauce, a caramelised jalapeno burger buried under white cheddar, and a ten-inch char-grilled all-beef hot dog with fries on the plate. Desserts are made in house, tres leches cake among them. Doors open Tuesday through Saturday from eleven until three, Friday adds an evening service until eight, and Sundays are held back for private parties. Closed Mondays. All aboard, as the sign says.
