Dickey's Barbecue Pit has slow-smoked its meats on site every day since Travis Dickey opened the first pit in Dallas in 1941, and the Jensen Beach store keeps to that script. Order by the plate, one, two or three meats with two homestyle sides and Texas toast, or take a Giant Pit-Smoked Loaded Baker instead. Beef brisket, pork ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken breast and jalapeno cheddar kielbasa form the core. Sides run to barbecue beans, cabbage slaw, fried okra and mac and cheese. Open eleven to nine, every day.
