DJ'S CLAM SHACK – Restaurant
Tucked on Hypolita Street in St. Augustine's historic quarter, DJ's Clam Shack is a small, loud, paper-napkin sort of place doing northern and southern seafood in the same breath. Maine lobster rolls come stuffed with knuckle and claw meat, hot with butter or cold with slaw. Ipswich fried clams and New England chowder arrive next to conch fritters, garlic steamed clams, shrimp and oyster po'boys, fish fingers, coconut shrimp and shrimp, chicken or fish tacos. A Key West salad takes add-ons up to lobster. Open Tuesday through Sunday, eleven until nine. Order the lobster roll, then argue about it afterwards.
