DJ's Clam Shack landed in St. Augustine's old town carrying a recipe honed in Key West, where the original shop caught the eye of Food Network's travelling cameras. Whole knuckle and claw meat goes into the roll; around it sit Ipswich fried clams, New England chowder, garlic steamed middle-necks, conch fritters, clam strips, coconut shrimp, po'boys and tacos, plus cheesesteaks and hot dogs for the unconverted. Sides keep it simple, fries and coleslaw. Doors open Tuesday to Sunday until nine. Casual, quick, and seriously seafood-forward from start to finish.
