Venezuelan street food, taken seriously and served all day long. The arepas are the point: split, griddled and packed until they barely close - pabellon, llanera, pelua, catira, sifrina, and the triple-stacked tripleta. Start with tequenos, arepitas con nata y queso, or empanadas of carne mechada, pollo mechado, queso or pabellon. Cachapas arrive sweet and folded, and the coffee list runs the full Caracas vocabulary, from a short negrito to a marron or a con leche. Finish with quesillo casero or marquesa de chocolate. Bright, busy and unfussy, with a weekday lunch special pairing the day's soup and an entree.
