DON PAN – Restaurant

Part bakery, part Latin kitchen, this Miami Beach branch of a South Florida Venezuelan chain works from morning coffee through to evening plates. The pastry case here is the main draw: ham and cheese cachitos, golfeados, pan de bono, croissants, guava-and-cheese pastelitos, flan, key lime pie and dulce de leche cannoli. On the savory side expect arepas in a dozen varieties, cachapas, hallacas around Christmas, pabellon criollo, grilled beef loin, chicken and rib soups, ensalada de gallina and Cuban bread. Breads run andino, French and pan de jamon. Locals treat the place as the neighborhood Venezuelan panaderia it plainly is.
