DOUGH BOYZ PIZZA – Italian
Three generations of Sicilian pizza-making behind a counter on State Road 434, and a trademarked line insisting it is not the water. Dough Boyz builds thin-crust squares: the Grandma Sicilian with fresh mozzarella, plum tomato sauce and homemade pesto, the Brooklyn layering mozzarella and provolone under grated parmesan and imported olive oil. Round pies run vodka margherita, Florida Hog with Italian sausage, cup-and-crisp pepperoni, ham and bacon, and a lasagna pizza on hand-rolled meatballs and ricotta. Subs, calzones, strombolis and pasta fill out the rest. Regulars single out the garlic knots and the sheer size of the portions. Closed Tuesdays.
