The Dough Forge takes its name literally: flour, water and fire worked like metal, hand-stretched by the Rizzo family, whose kitchen story starts in Palermo. The pizza list runs twelve to eighteen inches plus a Sicilian and a gluten-free base. Signature pies include the Quattro Stagioni with ricotta, ham, mushroom and artichoke; Seafood Splendido loaded with mussels, clams, calamari and shrimp; the Venus with roasted garlic and spinach on white sauce; chicken and eggplant parmigiana pies. Toppings climb through four tiers to prosciutto, soppressata and pulled pork. Calzones and rolls built to order. They cater as well. Bradenton, straightforwardly good.
