EL BALCON DE LAS AMERICAS VII – Restaurant
El Balcón de las Américas opened this Glades Road storefront in 2022 as its seventh South Florida location, part of a Colombian chain founded in Coral Springs in 1997. The kitchen fries chicharrón and drizzles it with guava sauce, melts white cheese into queso frito with more guava, and crisps green plantains for patacones served with guacamole and hogao. The bandeja paisa remains the signature order: rice, red beans, ground beef or top-round steak, chicharrón, arepa, avocado and a fried egg on one plate. Churrasco and carne aguacatala round out the grill. Guests keep praising the staff and fresh-baked empanadas.
