El Molcajete Mexican Restaurant is a family-owned kitchen in Vista Lakes Plaza on South Chickasaw Trail in Orlando, making its food from scratch. Birria tacos, topped with onions and cilantro and served with consommé for dipping, are the standout dish, alongside birria-cheese quesadillas, tacos with steak, lengua or tripa, and a broader menu covering comfort food, small plates and a kids' menu. A $1 taco special runs weekday afternoons from 11 to 4, and the kitchen also serves cocktails, beer and coffee. The restaurant previously ran a second location on Goldenrod Road, closed in mid-2025 to focus on Vista Lakes.
