Five Star mixes dough in the store daily and hand-tosses it into pies from eight inches up to a party-sized twenty-four, plus a ten-inch cauliflower crust. Take the Deluxe, All The Meats, or double-pepperoni Powerhouse, then add garlic rolls in the chain's own garlic sauce, Philly Steak Rolls, Chicken Bites, or wings tossed in Carolina Tangy Gold. Greek and chef salads lighten it. The Florida chain began in Gainesville in 1988 under John Gillespie, and Tallahassee keeps the late-night end of that promise seven nights a week.
