A brick oven on North Dale Mabry, where Kennedy Boulevard traffic thins and Hyde Park begins. Trading now as Flippers Pizza Co., the Central Florida group has baked craft pizza since 1987 on dough cold fermented for ninety six hours, dressed with crushed DOP San Marzano tomatoes. Order the Pepperoni Napoli, Hog and Honey with ricotta and raw honey, Mediterranean Chicken over basil pesto, or Arugula and Prosciutto finished with lemon. Oven baked wings, Asiago Pepp Rolls and house made dressings round it out. Cauliflower crust and vegan cheese are stocked. Tableside service, a weekday happy hour, open until midnight.
