FOUNDRY – Restaurant

A short hop from the sand on East Atlantic Boulevard, The Foundry plays contemporary American with a wide passport. Dinner runs from grilled octopus to burrata with basil pesto, beefsteak tomato and olive crumble on focaccia, then into the Foundry Burger, an al pastor burger and a Cajun crispy chicken sandwich, with fire-roasted wings in asian sticky, buffalo or jerk BBQ. Weekend brunch brings salmon benedict and chicken and waffles. Diners describe a room that stays lively without shouting and a kitchen that puts more thought into a burger than it strictly has to. Casual on the surface, ambitious underneath.
