FREDDO – Restaurant
Freddo has been turning out Italian-style gelato since 1969, born in Buenos Aires from immigrant Italian hands and now scooping on South Dixie Highway in Pinecrest. The cases run to pistacchio, dulce de leche and chocolate, with a Key Lime Pie flavor made for the Florida market, plus chocolate-dipped bars, fruitshakes, bonbons and take-home pints. The signature cone is the house calling card. Dulce de leche is what most people come back for, and pistachio is what they order beside it. Argentine gelato, made the long way round.
