Set back on Poinsettia Avenue, a block off the sand, the Saltwater Cafe is the quieter member of the Frenchy's group on Clearwater Beach. The super grouper sandwich is the reason most people walk in, and the she-crab soup is the reason they order a second course. Maryland crab cakes and the rest of the Gulf catch fill out the menu. Guests come back to the soup with a consistency bordering on ritual, and the grouper gets argued over up and down the beach. Fresh from the Gulf, and not shy about saying so.
