Eighteen years in Dr. Phillips and the pitch has not changed: handmade pasta, fresh mozzarella, pizza out of a wood oven. The pie list is long -- Margherita, Napoletana, Bianca, Boscaiola, Quattro Formaggi, a Calamari, a Carciofi. Antipasti keep it simple with bruschetta classica or funghi, caprese, grilled vegetables. Lunch brings panini: alle polpette, melanzane, vegetariano, the Goloso. A second Fresco is on the way in Windermere. Family-run Italian doing the fundamentals well enough not to need a gimmick.
