The Glass Knife is a Winter Park bakery and cafe where the pastry case is the argument: fresh donuts every morning, tall layered cakes, French-style pastries, and a warning printed on their own site that the donuts disappear by noon. Breakfast, brunch and lunch run daily - the cheddar biscuit sandwich with egg and bacon, chicken salad on a croissant - but the lemon meringue donut and the Southern red velvet layer cake are what people come back for. The name comes from the owner's collection of 1930s pressed-glass cake knives, displayed through the room. Come for lunch, leave with a box.
