GRATEFUEL CAFE – Restaurant

A bright little cafe on East Commercial Boulevard, opening early and busiest with the post-workout crowd. Siblings Santiago and Andrea Baravalle, originally from Peru, built the menu around acai bowls and blended drinks: the Golden Acai, the Choco Fuel with banana, peanut butter, cacao and dates, the Golden Hour smoothie of pineapple, mango and dragon fruit. Sandwiches hold up their end too, from a medium-rare Steak Society with swiss and caramelized onions to the Avocado Bacon Warrior on sourdough. Regulars describe smoothies thick enough to count as a meal and a room that is easy to linger in. Clean eating without the sermon.
