Third Street in Neptune Beach, 6:30 in the morning until two in the afternoon, and then it's done — Grumpy's serves breakfast and lunch and nothing after. The Americana menu runs to giant pancakes, wild waffles, biscuits and gravy, homemade soups, sandwiches and crab cakes, with a machine behind the bar squeezing Florida oranges all morning. The cinnamon roll pancake is the house showpiece. This location adds a full bar: mimosas, Bloody Marys, beer and wine. Diners come back for the portions and the pace of the service.
