HABIBI BOWLS – Restaurant

Started as a Bradenton food truck and now cooking out of a 53rd Avenue East storefront, Habibi Bowls does Mediterranean street food with a short menu and no ceremony. Chicken and steak shawarma come slow-roasted and sliced into wraps or over rice, built with fresh vegetables and the house garlic sauce; falafel with basmati, lettuce, tomato and tahini covers the vegetarian side, and seasoned fries fill the gaps. Baklava is the closer people mention unprompted. Diners talk about the depth of flavor in the shawarma and about an owner who greets them personally. Fast, generous, genuinely good.
