LITTLE JO-TO – Restaurant

Chef Van spent close to thirty years running the kitchen at Jo-To Japanese Steak House on US 41 before opening this small room of his own on SR 70, just west of I-75. There is no teppanyaki showmanship here; everything is cooked in the kitchen and sent out. Hibachi dinners come in steak, chicken, shrimp, scallop, salmon and filet mignon, alongside tempura, teriyaki, fried rice and Japanese egg noodles stir-fried with vegetables, all with soup or salad. Sake, beer and wine to go with. Weekday lunch specials, a compact dining room, and a chef people followed here.
