On State Road 7 in Margate, Holy Cow is less a scoop shop than a lounge: games on hand, staff who actually talk to you, and an evident wish that you would stick around a while. Owners Efrem Knight and Thomas Brooks make everything fresh in house, ice cream plus Italian ice, with a flavour list that wanders well past vanilla into banana pudding, apple pie, carrot cake, 24 Karat, Blue Hawaiian, Tropical Breeze and Guava Madness. Doors stay open to ten most nights and to one in the morning on Fridays. Late, loud and good. Bring people.
