Lakeland has more than one Hungry Howie's, and they all sell the same headline: flavored crust. Eight of them — butter, butter cheese, Asiago, ranch, Cajun, sesame, garlic herb, Italian herb — brushed onto the rim of an original round or thin base, an idea the chain launched in 1985 and never let go of. Round it out with calzone-style oven-baked subs, wings bone-in or boneless, chicken tenders, Howie Bread, salads and cookies.
