Su-Shin Izakaya keeps the menu unfussy — chicken teri donburi, beef sukiyaki, kaisen don, tempura ramen noodles, a sunset strip roll — and lets whatever came in fresh dictate the board. There is a macrobiotic streak running through the kitchen's thinking, inherited from its founders. Diners praise sushi that skips the cute roll names, and service that treats you like family. Coral Gables Japanese without the theatrics.
