Breakfast and lunch only, 6:30am to 3pm, seven days a week — Joe's Cafe runs on the classic diner clock in the Harbor Shops plaza on Fort Lauderdale's 17th Street. The successor to Joe Belair's Diner, it does the American counter repertoire properly: soups made fresh daily, deli sandwiches, big salads, black Angus burgers and a rotating board of homemade specials. There's a jukebox inside and swinging chairs out on the patio. Diners keep circling back for how much food the price buys, how fast it lands, and how quickly the staff learn a face.
