Uptown St. Augustine wakes up at Juniper Market, a counter-service café on San Marco Avenue trading eight until three. Everything is made from scratch and leans seasonal: goat-cheese quiche, house-made granola, a Havarti and fig grilled cheese, salmon-cake pita, salads built as full meals. The drinks list is unusually good for a small café — Vietnamese iced coffee, Greek frappé, ginger lemonade sweetened with agave. And the Happy Trails cookies have a following of their own. Airy and light-filled, equally suited to a laptop morning or a fast lunch.
