Kalamata – Restaurant

Kalamata began in 2019 as a Jackson pizzeria and grew into a full kosher Italian dining room a year later, wood-toned and deliberately unfussy. The kitchen — chefs trained in Israel and Italy — makes the fussy parts by hand: sweet potato ravioli in sun-dried tomato cream, maple-glazed Chilean sea bass, artisan pies from the oven, popcorn cauliflower and avocado salad to open. The specialty shakes have their own following. Regulars keep saying the same thing: that a kosher room this close to home cooks with this much care. Dine in, order late, or book the event hall.
