On North University Drive, La Brasa Grill gives Pembroke Pines a rotisserie counter that runs late into the evening. Chicken is the headline, sold by the quarter, half or whole with two sides, but the Latin menu behind it is broad: lomo saltado, pollo saltado, steak and shrimp, pork chops, fried fish, ceviches, chupe de mariscos and shrimp paella. Family meals cover a household in one order. Diners return for the size of the plates and the pace of service rather than the surroundings. Honest food, plenty of it.
