LA MICHOACANA ICE CREAM 3 – Restaurant

A short walk from the USF campus on East Fowler Avenue, this is the Tampa store in a small Florida paleteria family that started out in Plant City. The freezer case runs to Mexican-style paletas and scoops of ice cream, and the counter turns out mangonadas, fruit cups, aguas frescas and soft serve. It is a walk-up, take-it-with-you sort of place rather than a sit-down one, and it fills up on warm evenings with families and students. Customers talk about the freshness and the sheer range of flavors. Cheap, cold and well judged for the neighbourhood.
