LAJAWAB INDIAN CUISINE – Restaurant
Two chef brothers, Abhi and Somi, opened Lajawab on 54th Avenue North in 2024 and did the unglamorous work: whole spices toasted and blended in house, sauces made fresh each day, curry leaves picked from their own trees. It shows in the Chettinad chicken, the goat rogan josh built on Kashmiri chilies, the Chicken 65 fried with curry leaves and peppers, and biryani that arrives properly fragrant. Samosas, naan and raita fill the table; ras malai mango mousse and gulab jamun close it. The room is plain and family-friendly, and the cooking makes the name's case.
