Not what the name suggests: this is a family-run German kitchen on Cortez Road West in Bradenton, turning out schnitzel made in house, bratwurst the kitchen handcrafts itself, homemade sides and cold German beer to wash it down. Midweek brings a raw bar, with mussels and escargot alongside the usual heavier plates. The room does private events and catering too. It is comfort food in the most literal sense - big, honest and built for a cool evening you probably will not get in Florida.
