The menu is deliberately short — spaghetti and meatballs, a chicken parmesan grinder, and an Italian lemon cream cake people start eyeing before dinner is done. The owner is usually on the floor, checking plates. Diners describe food that tastes cooked that afternoon rather than assembled, in a warm room where the service is attentive without hovering. Families welcome inside, dogs welcome out. Short hours, short menu, done properly.
