MARFIL BISTRO – Restaurant

Nearly a decade on NW 36th Street in Doral, Marfil works as restaurant, gastrobar and event room without letting any one of them slip. The small plates are the draw: goat cheese croquettes with tomato jam, dates stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in pancetta, grilled octopus over fried polenta with lime truffle honey, garlic crab claws served with focaccia. There is a three-course lunch on weekdays and an eight-dollar happy hour every afternoon. Diners keep mentioning the plating and the portions in the same breath.
