Mocha Burger Lux – Restaurant

Midtown's kosher burger-and-steak house makes a spectacle of itself and knows exactly what it is doing. Mocha Burger Lux spreads over two floors on East 46th Street, where the headline act is a gold-leafed short-rib burger with Australian black truffle, delivered to the table in a hand-carved chest that opens with smoke and light. Behind the theatre sits a serious menu: a sixteen-ounce truffle cowboy burger, pulled beef brisket in a bun, beef tacos, shishito peppers, a Cabernet burger and a convincing kosher Philly cheesesteak. Churros and the S'mocha close it. Glatt kosher, and busy at lunch.
