MOM AND DAUGHTER – Restaurant

A bright little juice bar off the Overseas Highway in Tavernier, family-run and open from half past seven, Monday to Saturday. Smoothies and fresh juices are the headline and they are blended from real fruit, but the lunch board is why people stay: empanadas, an avocado wrap, jerk chicken, pasta salad, sandwiches and salads, plus a Monday barbecue special whose mac and cheese gets talked about for the rest of the week. Gluten-free and vegetarian requests are handled without fuss. Diners describe a clean, calm room and unusually warm service. Healthy without being humourless.
