MUNCHEEZ – Restaurant

A late-night burger counter at 6640 Collins Avenue in North Beach, open until two in the morning most nights, which is precisely when it makes the most sense. Burgers are the point - big, properly cooked, with the bacon cheeseburger and the outsized Hangover Fat Boy leading the order - backed by fried chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks, a Cuban sandwich and chili cheese fries that get talked about on their own. Coffee milkshakes are the sleeper. Portions land heavy, service lands fast. Not subtle, and not trying to be.
