MY HAPPY PLACE – Restaurant

Step off the sand on Gulf Boulevard and you are on the sundeck, ordering at the counter while the breeze does most of the work. My Happy Place Deli keeps it simple and generous: blackened grouper on toasted brioche with house remoulade, a smoked fish spread made from locally caught mahi, and the Turkey Estrada stacked with swiss and spinach-artichoke dip on sourdough. Breakfast is served all day. Visitors keep mentioning the same two things - a big menu for such a small place, and an owner who talks to everyone. Finish with a thick milkshake.
