NAKORN ROLL & BOWL – Restaurant

A Sheridan Street storefront in Hollywood where the sushi bar and the Thai wok run side by side, and neither feels like an afterthought. From the kitchen: pad thai, drunken noodle with basil and snow peas, red curry, tom kha thick with coconut and lemongrass, and a whole deep-fried snapper finished with chili or garlic-pepper sauce. From the bar: seared tuna salad with wasabi sesame dressing, sashimi and sushi lunch sets, kani salad, teriyaki don. Portions are generous, prices fair, the room laid-back. Two cuisines, one kitchen, no compromises.
