A Little Haiti institution on NE 2nd Avenue, opening at six in the morning and running through to early evening — bakery counter at the front, Haitian kitchen behind it. Plates arrive fast and full: stewed goat, oxtail, fried pork griot with plantains and pikliz, tassot with boiled banana, whole fried fish and red snapper, all over rice and peas with a simple salad. Squash soup and passion fruit juice round it out. Recently freshened up inside, and still the neighbourhood's default for goat done properly.
