NORTH PORT SUBS – Restaurant
A small counter on South Tamiami Trail where sandwiches are built to order and the bread does a lot of the heavy lifting - soft, fresh, sourced locally. The board runs to the Italian, roast beef, Turkey BLT, chicken salad, the Biscayne Turkey, a Cuban and a hot Philly cheesesteak. Mostly a to-go operation, though a handful of people usually end up eating in the lobby anyway. Customers keep mentioning the meat-to-bread ratio and staff who remember their order and occasionally push dessert across the counter. Small shop, serious sandwiches.
