No dining room, no pretence - Orient Kitchen in Regency Court on Yamato Road is a Chinese take-out counter and says so plainly. Everything is cooked to order behind the counter, which is the whole point: the operators are explicit that nothing sits, and that they pick premium meats and seafood and fresh produce rather than the cheapest available. The menu runs the familiar territory of combination plates, rice and noodle dishes, and vegetable dishes, with the heat dialled to wherever you want it. It opens at eleven and runs to half nine. Straightforward neighbourhood Chinese, and it knows exactly what it is.
